The Mourne Cooley Gullion Geotourism project
Louth County Council was a major partner in the 'Mourne Cooley Gullion' project funded by INTERREG IVA. This project aimed to develop the three adjacent upland areas of north Louth, south Armagh and south Down as a single, cross-border tourism destination, based on their shared geology, landscape and archaeology. Project funding ended in 2015 and consideration is currently being given as to how to take the project forward.
